Characters: The HEP-YR03G laser trimmers features a new solid-state laser which produces a 532 nm wavelength to open up many opportunities for the high-speed processing of today's new metal-based resistor and conductor materials. It utilizes a photo-ablation process to create smaller, cleaner kerfs in a variety of resistors and conductor materials. Higher coupling efficiencies and greater absorption of the laser wavelength result in superior clean quality laser trims. Proven, successful applications include thick-film, thin-film, capacitor and inductor trimming. The diode-pumped laser provides virtually maintenance-free operation as compared to a conventional arc-lamp-pumped laser. The stability of the diode source makes the laser very production worthy. In addition, the system can be used in a variety of micromachining applications where quality and size of cut are critical parameters. For passive or active (functional) trimming, HEP-YR03G offers high-speed measurement techniques, the ability to connect to IEEE-488 or USB-programmable measurement equipment or testers and a low noise environment. Other elements of HEP-YR03G laser trimmers including the Industry Standard PC, built-in pattern recognition, closed-loop step and repeat parts handler, Image identify and high-speed measurement system, are the same proven sub systems that establish HEP LASER as the leading supplier of laser trimming systems in China.
